Do you have broken security cameras? Most installations do. In fact, among previously-installed cameras we surveyed last year, 51% were offline. Getting them replaced can be tough to budget for, so they stay offline and the system degrades over time, until you find you’re missing footage when you need it most.
Our Stockade managed service plans were designed to keep your security systems functioning at 100% without nasty budget surprises. The plan includes regular service, trip charges, diagnostics, and repair and replacement labor for cameras, doors, and alarms.
We also help you get the most out of your systems by supporting difficult, tedious, and time-consuming tasks like searching for specific video and updating staff credentials.

A More-Functional Security System for Less Money
To see how Stockade Managed Services can help you get more stable, functional security system AND save you money, let’s look at an example. Consider a small, 5-camera installation. If we assume that one camera dies every year and that the system needs one additional service call per year, we can compare how costs and system functionality compare between Stockade and ad hoc repairs at years 3 and 5.
The green Stockade line shows consistent investment that is easy to budget for. The orange ad hoc line shows erratic, difficult-to-plan-for costs that explode when system functionality degrades too deeply. Stockade plans also keep the system at 100% functionality, while ad hoc repairs allow the system to degrade over time, reaching as low as 60% functionality in year 3. Costs from missed footage of safety or security incidents, slow responses to emergencies, or opportunistic shrinkage aren’t accounted for, but could easily dwarf the costs shown here.
The end result is that the Stockade plan keeps the system almost 20% more functional and at 37% lower cost.
These numbers are illustrative, but reflect real-world observations and assumptions. See our FAQs below to learn about some times our real clients have saved significant amounts of money through their Stockade plans.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
When an incident occurs, it can take users hours to find and collate relevant footage from the many cameras on their sites. This is especially true for users who do not use the VMS system on a regular basis.
We use the VMS systems we support on a day-in and day-out basis, so our team can quickly find and archive exactly the right video, saving you hours of searching and saving.
-
Computerized or networked access control systems can be much simpler than physical keys, but still require updates and configuration to work correctly and keep your facility secure.
When employees join, they need to be added to the system and their credentials enrolled. When employees leave, they and their credentials need to be removed. If credentials are turned in, they can be reassigned.
Building schedules and areas certain groups are allowed into can change. Those changes have to be reflected in the system to be effective.
Guests may need credentials assigned or be issued guest codes, which must be carefully matched to the schedule and the correct parts of the building.
These tasks can be time-consuming and can require some level of education or even expertise in the system to use. We can help operate the system so your staff can stay focused on what they do best.

We have one client who saved over $1,000 in one month on trip, service, and installation fees for several simple, but unrelated problems.
Savings vary across other clients of course, but most of our clients realize savings within the first year.

In one instance, a warehouse client had the cord from their NVR unplugged at the router, which was two equipment bays and nearly 200 feet away, so the entire system appeared to go offline. We had not installed the NVR, so did not have the cable mapped. We came, traced the cable, and restored service. There was no fee.
In another instance, two buildings lost communication during a storm. A tree had fallen and knocked the point-to-point antenna out of alignment. We came a re-aligned the antenna and restored service.
For a final example, a third client had a camera with a faulty weather seal. It filled with water and shorted itself out. We came, diagnosed the issue, processed warranty paperwork with the OEM, and then returned to install the replacement. The total cost to our client was $0. The OEM warranty covered the faulty camera and Stockade covered the trip fees, diagnostic fees, and re-installation labor.
