Installation Services
Get your security cameras set up for success from the start with Settler Security’s professional installation services.
Every installation starts with professional site plan. Camera coverage and cabling are carefully mapped to make sure nothing gets missed. Our licensed and experienced installers run cables, mount cameras, and configure hardware according to that plan. When they are finished, each installation site is cleaned and every component subjected to our rigorous, 40-plus point Quality Assurance checklist.
Cameras supported by VMS systems will be connected and configured. Motion masking and notifications will be configured to eliminate regular noise and deliver high-quality security signals. Our flexible camera taxonomy makes searching and creating customized views a piece of cake, whether you need remote access, video monitoring station feeds, or compartmentalized access for onsite teams.
You can rest easy knowing that your system will be working as promised. We back our work with a one year labor warranty. Hardware components are covered by OEM warranties, which range from several years to lifetime*.
CABLING
Whether your system needs data cables (like CAT5 or CAT6), coaxial, fiber optic, or even a mix of cable types, we can get them installed. Installation options include plenum, outdoor, buried, or conduit-protected, each with the correct cabling type to provide the longest life.
OTHER POWER AND COMMS
For camera systems that do not or cannot get power or communications from standard POE cables, we can design and install systems to meet those needs. Solar panels, batteries, LTE communicators, or satellite panels can all be used to keep cameras online in remote locations. For harsh environments, these components will be protected by rugged, weatherproof cabinetry designed to keep water, critters, and other destructive elements out.
INFRASTRUCTURE
A successful camera or security system installation goes beyond cameras and cables. The video needs to be carefully managed and processed to deliver high-quality signals without swamping corporate networks. We work hand-in-hand with network administrators to tailor your system to your needs. Cybersecurity and privacy need to be considered and are built into every system we install.
We can help you get the right mix of onsite and cloud storage with NVRs and CMVRs that provide onsite data retention, bridges to get video to the cloud without overloading work-time bandwidth, and edge devices that buffer against network interruptions.
Cabinets, racks, cable management, and power systems, such as uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and battery backups keep your systems accessible physically and digitally. Careful cable management labeling smooth future maintenance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Simple installations of a single alarm panel or a few cameras can be done in morning or an afternoon, however most projects take 2-3 weeks.
We serve a commercial client base which normally means projects are larger and more complex than homes or small businesses and need to be scheduled with consideration for other contractors, permitting, move-in dates, and compliance timelines. Customized integrations, AI training, and other advanced functions can also add to a project’s duration.
For urgent installations, we work hand-in-hand with our clients to move as aggressively as we can and have installed hardware in as few as 3 days.
We can help you understand and manage your project timeline too. Our installation plans included sitemaps and project plans that reflect timing and dependencies. To get started, call us for a free consultation today.

Dedicated, professional security installers often many advantages over DIY or unspecialized installation.
Our installations are licensed and done with permitting and code in mind, so you can rest easy knowing that your security system isn’t going to cause you problems with the fire marshal.
We also work with this type of equipment regularly and are familiar with its quirks. We know how to design a system for adequate bandwidth, wattage, and lighting. We have specialized tools and processes for things like testing cameras independently of the NVR/switch/power supply, for testing cables, and assembling hardware.
Relationships with distributors and OEMs mean that we can help process returns and warranty claims in the unlikely event that hardware fails early (or is bad out of the box).

We stand by our installations - we want our clients to get the functionality they need at the price they expect. We strive for this from the quote process through installation and post-install support.
At bidding and quoting, we offer our “It’s Settled” price guarantee (terms apply) for surveyed sites. If we miss something in surveying or system design, we will make it right on our own dime.
Once installations are completed, we offer a one-year warranties on installations. Everything will be wired and configured to work or we will make it right.
We also offer our Stockade Managed Services for long-term support. These fixed price maintenance contracts nearly eliminate budget surprises.
If you want the confidence of knowing that your installation isn’t going to surprise you with cost overruns and your installer isn’t going to disappear after hardware is on the wall, give us a call!

Yes, we can install most industry-standard alarm, access, and video equipment whether provided by us or provided by our clients.
However, we cannot guarantee the functionality or compatibility of systems designed by third parties nor can we help process OEM warranty claims for hardware sold through other channels. Missing or incorrect components may incur additional installation, troubleshooting, and trip charges.
For these reasons, most of our clients prefer to have us source all required equipment for installation.
-
Yes, we can repair many types of industry-standard systems, regardless of who installed them. However, we generally cannot guarantee pricing on repairs.
-
We have no minimum installation size, however, due to our business structure and the types of systems we sell, we generally recommend that clients engage us for installations of 8+ cameras or 2+ electronically-controlled doors.
Installations smaller than that are often better served by retail options like Ring, Arlo, etc.
