Warehouse Security Cameras
Warehouse and light industrial security requires a special attention to detail to get right. Long aisles, elevated mounting points, difficult lighting, heat and humidity, and safety concerns all mean hardware needs to be carefully selected and installed to get the performance required. Various federal and trade compliance requirements add another layer of complexity.

SECURITY CAMERAS FOR EVERY WAREHOUSE
Despite their apparent similarities, warehouse and light industrial operators know every facility is unique. Each product has its own quirks, requiring its own climate, storage, and handling. These impact facility size, the types of machinery required to produce and move product, and, of course, security systems required to keep people and product safe.
Operations are also subject to a wide array of compliance requirements. Insurance, CMMC, NDAA, and ISO are just a few of the most-common facility regulations that impact security camera coverage and retention requirements.
At Settler, our approach to warehouse security is NOT one-size-fits-all. Our process starts with a free, no-obligation Needs Assessment and Site Survey, in which we assess more than 75 different factors about your facility and map camera coverage to ensure that the system meets your facility’s needs without expensive remediation.
BUILT TO LAST
Warehouses and factories can be hard on electronic equipment like security cameras. Every product Settler carries and recommends has been carefully selected for rigorous duty. Cameras are evaluated not just on resolution, but on environmental durability ratings and OEM warranties. Units that aren’t built to last don’t make the cut.
After the design stage, camera installations are carried out according to codes and standards that keeps supporting infrastructure like cabling intact for the long haul. Outdoor jacketing, water-proof terminations, conduit to protect cables from moving equipment, and careful attention to equipment placement are just a few of the factors that allow us to stand by our installations with a full year-long installation warranty.
Once the system is up and running, we offer our Stockade Managed Service packages to provide proactive maintenance and easy replacements to keep budget surprises to a minimum.
SAFETY FIRST
Security cameras have always been useful after safety incidents. Video is a critical tool for understanding causes and faults and for assessing where liability truly lies.
But modern camera systems can go beyond analyzing incidents to helping make sure they never happen to begin with. Video analytics systems can detect when employees are missing PPE, have entered a zone reserved for moving equipment, or detect heat buildup in areas with flammable material and provide proactive alerting to safety and management teams.
A partner who understands warehouse risks can help you implement a system that does more than wait passively for pricey accidents.

Our philosophy is to help clients choose equipment based on what is best for their projects, not for our reseller bonus targets.
We frequently recommend Eagle Eye Networks for cloud installations, Hanwha for on-prem, and Mobotix for advanced projects like thermal or visual data. We can provide a wide array of other brands through our distributors. We have installed and repaired systems including Axis, Hikvision, LTS, Luminys, and more.
We do not carry consumer- or retail-grade equipment like Lorex, Ring, or eufy (learn why here), although we may be able to help with repairs or upgrade projects.

We can generally repair or upgrade existing camera systems. We do not repair individual camera units.

Camera projects can vary widely depending on type of facility, resolution, retention needs, integrated systems, and other factors.
Nonetheless, many clients find that $1,000 per office camera and $1,500 per warehouse camera (which includes camera, cabling, installation, and network support) is a useful point to start budgeting.
If you are sizing a budget for a security camera project, call us for a free Needs Assessment. We can help you scope your budget and decide whether a free Site Survey is a valuable next step.

When answering whether 4 megapixels (or 2MP, 8MP, etc) is enough, we ask: “enough for what?”
Our planning methodology will examine what problems you are trying to solve or prevent with your cameras and the location they need to be in. We can calculate exactly what a camera or lens will capture at a certain distance and evaluate whether you need more (or maybe even less) resolution.

We work exclusively with commercial/institutional buyers and specialize in warehouses and light industrial facilities. We have also worked with other large-scale installations like multifamily, retail, and self-storage.
We do NOT work with single-family residential.

In most cases, we plan for 2-3 weeks from the time a contract is signed to project completion. This includes time to order equipment, install, test, and review the whole system.
We can provide support for urgent installations when necessary. These projects often require flexibility on equipment and budget. We have installed equipment in as little as 3 days from the time a client called.
Some projects, such as those requiring permitting, engineering support, OEM consultation, custom integration programming, or custom-made hardware may take longer.
