Stockade Managed Services
It’s a fact of life that even the best-designed systems will fail eventually. Regular wear and tear, accidental damage, and even vandalism can take important components offline. But repairs can mean unplanned expenses that cut profitability and eat into budgets. As a result, degraded systems are often left in place until security issues arise. By then, cameras are missing footage and damage has been done. Shrinkage, concerned staff, legal liability, and stymied investigations result.
To help protect our clients from systems that degrade over time, we’ve designed our Stockade managed service plans to keep client systems up and running with zero or close-to-zero surprise repair costs. Stockade members do not pay for service calls or diagnostic fees. Covered devices will be repaired or replaced without installation fees.
Replacement hardware is still required, but Settler systems are designed to include components with long-lasting, commercial-grade warranties (up to lifetime in many cases).
Compatible systems will be monitored to minimize downtime and ensure quick correction of system issues.

Searching for incident video can be time-consuming and tedious. For compatible systems, Stockade members can task Settler with identifying and archiving video for security incidents, freeing up client staff for more important Recovery work.
For clients with access control systems, we can help manage credentials, keep user records up-to-date, and manage door scheduling and guest access.

A More-Functional Security System for Less Money
To see how Stockade Managed Services can help you get more stable, functional security system AND save you money, let’s look at an example. Consider a small, 5-camera installation. If we assume that one camera dies every year and that the system needs one additional service call per year, we can compare how costs and system functionality compare between Stockade and ad hoc repairs at years 3 and 5.
The green Stockade line shows consistent investment that is easy to budget for. The orange ad hoc line shows erratic, difficult-to-plan-for costs that explode when system functionality degrades too deeply. Stockade plans also keep the system at 100% functionality, while ad hoc repairs allow the system to degrade over time, reaching as low as 60% functionality in year 3. Costs from missed footage of safety or security incidents, slow responses to emergencies, or opportunistic shrinkage aren’t accounted for, but could easily dwarf the costs shown here.
The end result is that the Stockade plan keeps the system almost 20% more functional and at 37% lower cost.
These numbers are illustrative, but reflect real-world observations and assumptions. See our FAQs below to learn about some times our real clients have saved significant amounts of money through their Stockade plans.
Frequently Asked Questions

When an incident occurs, it can take users hours to find and collate relevant footage from the many cameras on their sites. This is especially true for users who do not use the VMS system on a regular basis.
We use the VMS systems we support on a day-in and day-out basis, so our team can quickly find and archive exactly the right video, saving you hours of searching and saving.
-
We have one client who saved over $1,000 in one month on trip, service, and installation fees for several simple, but unrelated problems.
Savings vary across other clients of course, but most of our clients realize savings within the first year.

In one instance, a warehouse client had the cord from their NVR unplugged at the router, which was two equipment bays and nearly 200 feet away, so the entire system appeared to go offline. We had not installed the NVR, so did not have the cable mapped. We came, traced the cable, and restored service. There was no fee.
In another instance, two buildings lost communication during a storm. A tree had fallen and knocked the point-to-point antenna out of alignment. We came a re-aligned the antenna and restored service.
For a final example, a third client had a camera with a faulty weather seal. It filled with water and shorted itself out. We came, diagnosed the issue, processed warranty paperwork with the OEM, and then returned to install the replacement. The total cost to our client was $0. The OEM warranty covered the faulty camera and Stockade covered the trip fees, diagnostic fees, and re-installation labor.
